About the Opportunity

We are currently expanding our company with multiple exciting opportunities for Journeyman Plumbers to join our team in Yellowknife, N.T. on a full-time basis. In this role, our ideal candidate will have the ability to work on a variety of industrial, commercial, and residential worksites, while leading projects, and supervising apprentices. 

More specifically, your responsibilities will include:

  • Working to plumb an entire house or commercial building
  • Performing installation, repairs, and maintenance on Hot Water Boilers
  • Performing Gas Line sizing and installation
  • Working on and being familiar with various mechanical systems, ventilation, sprinklers, hot water heating, and plumbing
  • Interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of the plumbing system, water supply network, waste, and drainage systems and providing recommendations for areas of improvement
  • Interpreting and understanding codes and permit processes
  • Troubleshooting and identifying problems regarding failures in systems and taking necessary actions of repair and replacement
  • Leading and managing Apprentice Plumbers as needed 

More About You

In order to qualify for this role, you will need to be a Journeyman Plumber with 3-5 years of experience at a Journeyman level, with experience in the construction industry and working on projects from start to finish. For this role, a Class 5 Driver's License is required; a company vehicle and tools will be supplied. 

We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, who is able to work closely with a team or independently. You are a good problem-solver with a solution-oriented, resourceful, and technical mindset. Your ability to stay calm and professional, even in unpredictable work situations, will be a valuable addition to our service-focused philosophy. You manage time efficiently on various projects, with a willingness to learn new processes, systems, and tools as the technology advances in the industry.
